Severnside Sub-Aqua Club has been a leader in the Bristol diving community since 1969, taking SCUBA diving to new depths and new destinations.
Based in the heart of the historic docks, we’re a very active branch of the British Sub-Aqua Club. We participate in a wide-range of diving activities including shore diving, RIB diving, and charter bookings in the UK, as well as weekend trips, expeditions, and holidays abroad. We are able to offer full training, from complete beginner through to the higher level BSAC diver qualifications.
Whether you’re a complete beginner, have learnt the basics on holiday, or have loads of experience – with BSAC, PADI or any other organisation – you’ll be made very welcome.

If you have always wanted to learn to dive or are simply curious about scuba diving, then a Try Dive with Severnside Sub-Aqua Club is the perfect introduction!
In the safe confines of the pool, a BSAC Instructor will introduce you to the basic skills and equipment needed to experience the thrill of breathing underwater for the very first time. Try Dives cost £25.
A typical Try Dive session lasts about 45 minutes. It involves poolside tuition on diving techniques and equipment, followed by a scuba dive in our pool with a BSAC-qualified instructor.
