How often does the club meet?
We meet every Monday (excluding bank holidays) at our club house in Cambria Yard. Please get in touch if you would like to come and visit.

How much does club membership cost?
Membership to Severnside is £160 for full diving members and £80 for student / junior diving members per year. The BSAC membership fee is in addition to this, the cost of which ranges from ~£33 to ~£72 per year depending on your qualification. All club memberships are collected via. monthly DD.

Do I need to have my own equipment?
As a club we do have some equipment which we can lend out to members so there is no requirement to buy any kit prior to starting pool training (although many trainees do choose to purchase their own mask!). When moving into open water you will require some additional equipment, therefore if we don’t have the size you need you may need to hire / purchase this.

How frequently are trips run?
All club trips are organised and run by other club members; over the summer we have an active dive calendar with trips taking place on most weekends.

Where do you go diving?
We frequently plan trips to the south coast for both scenic and wreck dives. Some frequently dived locations include Plymouth, West Bay, Portland, Brixham & Babbacombe.

What sort of diving does the club do?
We do a range of boat diving from our 2 club RIBs, shore diving from beaches and quarry dives. Dives are usually available to suit all qualifications and interests. If you would like to find out more please feel free to get in touch.

Are there any other member benefits?

We provide free Air fills and Nitrox at cost to Full Diving and Student / Junior members.

How is the club run?

Severnside is run entirely by its members, all of whom are volunteers. Each year we elect a committee at our AGM who help coordinate the running of the club for the following year.
